Writing on back:

Miss Kate Blount,
616 Lake View Ave,
San Antonio,
Texas.

What's the matter? Are any of you sick? But, maybe you are so glad to be rid of me you can't! Heard from Dad yet? I'm anxious to hear. I would write more but we washed to-day and my hand sure hurts. Love to all

March 14th.

Ragsdale's Lake, in Highland Park, Jacksonville, Texas

Date: 1907-1908
Type: "T" Back, divided back
Postmarked: Mar 15, 8AM, Jacksonville

History:
Ragsdale's lake was a popular swimming hole in the early 1900's, fed by Ragsdale's Creek, and was located north and slightly east of the present-day Tomato Bowl. If you look at a modern map, you'll notice "Lake Street" in that area.

This photo is a portion of a large aerial photograph that's on display at the Dairy Queen on South Jackson. Unfortunately, the photo appears to be scratched up because I was unable to take the photo out of the frame to scan the image.
