"How many days did I spend here! Anyone remember trying to ride the floating elephant!! The small cafe just to the north of the pool had an amusement arcade with a huge "Shoot the Bear" game for a nickle."

- Dan Tillman

"I remember this was the first public pool I had ever been swimming in. YOU COULD EVEN RENT A BATHING SUIT! Now this was really something for a country girl like me."

- Artie (Willis) Peterson

"Lookout Pool is where I learned to swim in the late 60's. I had no idea it had been around since the 30's. I used to love to go there, and then have a picnic and run up and down the steps at the amphitheatre. "

- Tami Terry
