"LOVE'S LOOKOUT SHOULD BE CALLED "McKEES GAP", BECAUSE IN 1846 THOMAS McKEE WHICH IS MY SIXTH GREAT-GRANDFATHER LED A GROUP OF PRRESBYTERIANS HERE IN 1846 AND BEGAN THE TOWN OF LARISSA, NAMED BY McKEE'S SON REV.T.N.McKEE.THE TOWN FLOURISHED AS THE LOCATION OF LARISSA COLLEGE. FROM THE 1850'S UNTIL THE 1870'S.THIS POINT OF THE LOOKOUT WAS A POPULAR AREA UNTIL THE RAILROAD BYPASSED THE TOWN AND IT DECLINED.I HAVE LOTS PICTURES,SCHOOL BOOKS,AND NEWSPAPER ARTICLES ABOUT JACKSONVILLE,RUSK AND MT.SELMAN MT.SELMAM.PLEASE CONTACT ME,940-781-0933,THANK YOU."
