"I can remember going into Mr. Bando's store in the early 1940's and asking Mr. Bando if he had any scraps for sale. He would answer in his thick accent, "Get you a sack, boy, I got blenty, I got blenty." That is not a mispelling of plenty, that was how he said it. In my mind I can still him speaking after nearly 65 years. He only charged one penny for the scraps."
