The high school scrap book belonging to Edith Earle, Joe Wright High, class of 1921. Dates of writing/materials in the book range throughout the '20s.

The Earle family was among the first to settle in the Jacksonville area. Edith Earle's great-grandfather, Elijah Earle, moved from Alabama to Gum Creek, the site of Old Jacksonville, in 1846.

Edith's father met an early death in 1913, while repairing electric wires in City Park.
